With the lockdown happening right now, I have taken the opportunity to catch up on the past few seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashians, and if there is one look that these sisters are known for wearing, its biker shorts. They seem to be the ‘it’ piece in LA right now, with so many influencers and celebrities wearing them.  I've always been a bit hesitant to try out this style as they can quickly become unflattering, but it's such a versatile piece that I've found a way to make it work. So if you want to accomplish that LA summer vibe, here are 4 different ways to style biker shorts.

Night out

White Biker shorts are one of the hardest things to get right, mostly because anything tight and white can often become really unflattering. That's why I like to style white biker shorts with a blazer, something that is baggy and oversized. Here I've added a pop of colour with this pink blazer from Bershka pair it with a white bag, like this Bottega Veneta pouch bag dupe from boohoo and you're good to go.

Chic

A statement piece that I've always loved is an oversized white shirt, its so classy and never goes out of style. I prefer to get upsized men's shirts, like this one from Topman, as they tend to be less fitted than women's shirts. I've styled it with some grey biker shorts, chunky gold jewellery and some clean white trainers to make the perfect outfit.

Casual

The most common and easiest way to style a biker short would be to wear either an oversized crewneck/hoodie or T-shirt. One way to step this look up would be to get your hands one something vintage. This is an outfit perfect for going to class or just running some errands. Pair with some trainers, maybe some high tops, and a backpack to complete the look.

Sporty

If you're feeling daring enough you can show some skin with a crop top and biker shorts, to show off your summer tan. Its a super simple outfit, but can be dressed up with accessories. Here I have on an all-black set with a black bumbag with silver hardware and some grey running trainers. If you want some more coverage you can add a denim jacket to complete the look.
